Advantages:

- Coding Dojo provides a vast array of technology to work with, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Python, Flask, MySQL, MongoDB, Mongoose, Node.js, React/Express, Postman, jQuery, JSON, Ajax, Java, SpringToolSuite, SpringBoot, APIs, AWS, Azure, and many more. Each stack offers a great deal of technical knowledge and depth.

- The community learning environment is an excellent opportunity for students to collaborate and learn. Instructors, TAs, and peers are all available to help and provide support. Zoom lectures, breakout rooms, and Discord channels are all available to assist students in their learning process.

- Graduates can stay connected even after completing the program. They can join alum Discord channels, LinkedIn groups, and receive career services support. Coding Dojo offers an excellent starting point for building a professional network.

Disadvantages

- The Login/Learn platform access is cut off six months after graduation, which can be frustrating for students who still need to practice and reinforce the concepts learned in the bootcamp. This limitation can be perceived as being unnecessarily restrictive.

- Some tech topics, such as JSON and APIs, are not taught in-depth and are left for students to learn on their own. The project week can be challenging for students who require additional support, as peers and TAs may not be available to provide assistance.

- Some technical aspects, such as website deployment, are treated as bonus material for Black Belts, rather than being essential components of the program. Coding Dojo offers an optional certification in Azure, but it would be beneficial for students to have a more comprehensive understanding of deployment.

Overall, Coding Dojo is good at teaching students how to build an application/server with full CRUD functionality using Python, MERN, and Java. The instructors and TAs are helpful, but support can be limited in the evenings and weekends. Students must plan ahead and start assignments early to ensure sufficient support if they get stuck debugging. While there is room for improvement, Coding Dojo provides a comprehensive learning experience and is an excellent starting point for building a professional network.
