FAQ

  • How will Juno help me get a job?

Our Bootcamp program is designed to give students the skills they need to get a job as a Web Developer. We’ve worked closely with our students since 2014 to ensure they are successful both when they graduate from Juno, and throughout their careers. During our program, we teach you the skills you’ll need to find a job. From personal branding lessons to resume and cover letter reviews, we work one-on-one with you until you are employed. Our CEO has always been involved with our graduates’ job hunts and in 2019, we added a dedicated Career Services department with the goal of helping every graduate land a job they’re proud of. Our graduates work at some of the best companies out there, including Loblaw Digital, Deloitte, Uberflip, Crowdriff, TWG, Ceridian Dayforce, ecobee, Universal Music, and more. It’s important to note that you must have knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Responsive Development to be ready for Bootcamp. If you’re new to coding, our part-time Web Development course is a great place to start.

  • Do you provide certificates upon completion of one of your courses?

Students who complete the Full-Time Web Development Immersive program will receive a certificate. We do not provide certificates for our continuing education courses. We’re happy to provide documentation of completion for continuing education studies, however, if required by your employer.

  • Does Juno qualify for OSAP?

Not yet! Private Career Colleges like Juno must meet certain Ministry requirements to be eligible for OSAP. Though our courses do not currently meet those requirements, we are exploring the steps we can take to make OSAP a possibility for Juno students in the future.

  • Are Income Share Agreements the only payment option available?

No, you can still choose to pay your full tuition amount of $12,000 upfront if you have the means to do so. We offer different payment options to accommodate you depending on your financial circumstances. If you do choose to pay your tuition upfront and have taken other courses at Juno in the past, you are also eligible for a number of alumni scholarships, which aren’t available to ISA students.

  • How does an Income Share Agreement work?

When you enroll in Bootcamp, you have a choice between paying the full $12,000 tuition upfront, or paying just $1 upfront with an Income Share Agreement. If you would like to pay $1, you enter into an Income Share Agreement with Juno. Under this contract you agree to pay Juno 17% of your gross monthly income for two years after graduation, starting when you land a job making at least $50,000 annually. For example, if you land a job that pays $60,000/year, that means you are earning $5,000 per month. Each month, you will pay 17% of your income, or $850, to Juno. You will make these payments to Juno for 24 months, after which they are considered paid in full. If you lose your job, take time off work, or your income drops below $50,000, your payments are paused. Payments are capped at a maximum total of $18,000 so you will never pay more than that, even if you are making a higher salary. You have five years from your last day at Juno to make your 24 payments. If you have not made these payments after five years, your Income Share Agreement is voided and you don’t owe anything additional, ever.

  • What if I miss an Income Share Agreement payment?

You only make payments when you earn at least $50,000 per year or $4,166.66 per month. If in any month you earn less than that, payments pause. If you’re earning this much and still miss a payment, we offer a 90-day grace period to make up for the missed payment. At the end of the day, an ISA is a legally binding document. We require all of our students to live up to their commitments, or ISAs may become unavailable to other students in the future.

  • Do your programs qualify for the Canada-Ontario Job Grant?

Yes! In fact, we have had many students successfully apply for the Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) to attend our continuing education courses. This grant provides direct financial support to employers who wish to purchase training for their employees.

  • Are there any registration fees, extra costs or textbook fees?

There is a $250 registration fee. Optional fees may include up to $650 for web hosting, domain names, website designs, or fees for a laptop rental.
