Where to begin with this place.... For reference I am no dummy. I am currently wrapping up my Master's program and about to begin my Ph.D. in engineering. Let's just say I have taken a lot of university courses and I have never been more horrified by an academic institution.

1) Content: sure the content is okay? I hated the format and the layout that is presented. Often times the content is not relevant to the subject. For ex: I took structural geology here as there was a conflict at my home university. My next year I took the advanced level course at my home university... I was not as far a long as the other students and there were methods that AU did not even bother to teach. The methods they did I never used again...

2) The tutors: oh my word did they pick them most arrogant humans on earth?? These guys seem to think their God or something with how they handle questions. Fist of all good luck even getting a response.. Shout out to Henry Agbogun for ghosting me for weeks and then just to stop responding all together. OH also, still waiting on you to mark that assignment from four months ago... OH and when you do get a response it is not helpful. You might get a bunch of red marks on a paper, usually unintelligible, and them saying you get it now? No, obviously I don't as you just gave me a bunch of unreadable red lines my dude.

3) The labs: oh my good word. These labs were TERRIBLE. The final lab is using a compass on a carboard cut out to measure strike and dip and such. EXCEPT they do not send you the materials they want you to use and you have to buy a compass to do it all. FUN. So of course my results were slightly different. Think that they marked it nicer in understanding? HAHAHAHA, no. Of course they were ruthless and seemingly did not give a hoot. All could have been avoided if they had answered my question I sent weeks prior if this was going to be an issue and what I could do...

Thanks AU for the worst 23 weeks of my academic life.

I have been in the pursuit of my MN degree for 2 years. I am beyond pleased; faculty and employees are great and respond promptly to my queries . I would recommend this program to any busy nurse out there who would like to continue their education, but cannot b/c of the constraints of balance of work and home. This is not a walk in the park either, you must be organized, dedicated and stay ontop of your work .
