As a product manager, project manager, or business analyst, how can you work with an Agile software development team to deliver what your customers want, when they want it?
This course introduces learners to the five levels of planning, including how to create a product vision and framework for managing software projects that act as a guide for a development team. You will learn how to translate your vision into a product roadmap, with requirements and features prioritized by your stakeholders and build a release a plan that delivers a minimum viable product to your customer as fast as possible.
What You’ll Learn
- Creating a product vision through an Agile and Lean approach
- Brief introduction to the Scrum framework
- The role of the product owner, and the product owner team
- The Business Value Game: managing stakeholder priorities
- Story mapping and user stories for requirements gathering
- Project charter, release plan, and progress reporting tools for an Agile project
- Agile estimation and affinity estimation
- Making the date: tracking delivery against your release plan
This course can be applied to the UBC Certificate in Business Analysis, UBC Certificate in Project Management (Part-Time) or the UBC Associate Certificate in Agile Leadership.
