Visual Effects is the balanced amalgamation of right brain and left brain thinking. Artists rely on the filmmaker’s creative vision and their own technical skills and software knowledge to bring ideas to life on film and TV.

Toronto Film School’s Visual Effects for Film & TV Diploma deconstructs the VFX pipeline with a cumulative approach to teaching the art. Each term yields a practical outcome that prepares students to take up industry assignments. Students start working with a still shot, blend it with 3D assets and film and then add visual effects.  The program culminates with students pulling all this together and creating the final VFX shot that is then evaluated by industry professionals.

Students graduate prepared to handle complex VFX assignments and with a diverse portfolio that maximizes employment prospects.

I went to the Toronto Film School a few years ago and I cant say enough great things about my experience. TFS is hands down the best film school around, as I visited several before making my decision. The instructors are top notch, especially Chris Lane. Everyone is very knowledgeable and currently working in the industry so there's lots of great opportunities to work on projects if you apply yourself.  I had several gigs lined up the second I finished school. If you're looking for a hands on, yet informative and cutting edge film school I highly recommend the Toronto Film School.
