Toronto Film School understands that aspiring writers are looking for educational opportunities that are both comprehensive and flexible. Their Writing for Film & TV associate diploma program is an extensive 24-month online program that provides instruction from experienced writers, with the opportunity to learn at your own pace.
Here’s what you can expect: A program modelled on industry writing rooms that will teach you how to turn your ideas into saleable, commercial formats ready for production. You will graduate with a portfolio of work for prospective employers, and with the knowledge you need to fill any number of creative roles, including: Screenwriter, Story Editor, Editor, Production Executive, Studio Executive, Producer, Director and Staff Writer.
Bachelor of Creative Arts degree pathway
A creative diploma from Toronto Film School qualifies you for entry into Yorkville University’s Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) degree program, which can be completed in as few as 15 months. The BCA is designed to round out your education by teaching you the practical business and leadership skills you need for a successful career in the creative arts. With this degree, you will then be eligible to apply to Canada’s Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWPP), where you can obtain a work permit valid for up to 3 years.
