MC College is contracted by Alberta Apprenticeship Industry and Training to deliver the Classroom Instruction program for Hairstylist Apprentices. Apprentices must be registered with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training to participate in program. Successful completion will lead to Journeyman Certification.
First Period Apprenticeship (350 hours)
Topics include; consultations, haircutting, styling, tapers, fades, hot shaves, and scalp treatments. Apprentices will complete First Period theory and practical exams at the end of the ten weeks.
Second Period Apprenticeship (350 hours)
Topics include; styling, perms, chemical relaxers, and hair coloring. Apprentices will complete the Second Period theory and practical exams at the end of the ten weeks.
Classes are from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday.
