The basis of Centennial’s unique Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Management courses will be these standards and a deep-rooted connection with multinational hotel, resort and restaurant organizations. As such, this graduate certificate program will feature various integrated academic and experiential learning opportunities.

What You’ll Learn
- Create and implement business management plans that effectively utilize hospitality resources and accomplish organizational goals.
- Identify and select appropriate food and beverage and management strategies according to the hospitality environment.
- Evaluate financial principles (marketing, budgets, cost controls, revenue management) and the effect they have on the overall financial health of the hospitality enterprise.
- Judge the effectiveness of a variety of hospitality health, safety, security and crisis management plans that attempt to minimize risks.
- Evaluate the quality, practice, marketing and business models used in the hospitality industry.
- Develop appropriate recreational activities according to the hospitality environment.
- Describe and where necessary, utilize the relevant Canadian hospitality labour laws and guidelines for the negotiating/bargaining process within the public and private sphere.
- Identify, select, and utilize appropriate hospitality protocol in relation to interactions within the workplace.
- Create appropriate strategies to address marketing, budgetary and revenue complications.
