Designed to provide you with in-depth practical experience and relevant skills to succeed in a User Experience Design related field. The academic portion of the program is 24 weeks full-time, outside of regular business hours. The remaining 24 weeks of the program is a work placement.

In this program, students will learn how to engage in the entire UX design process, taking abstract ideas and refining them into concrete solutions. Skills taught include user experience research, planning, design, testing, and technical aspects of user experience design. They’ll work in a team-based environment, set up collaborative workflows and communicate with their clients, designers and potential employers. Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to network and build connections with hiring partners and professionals. They’ll also be given an introduction to their field and the skills necessary to work on technical teams in an agency, in-house, start-up, corporate or freelance environment. By the end of the program, they’ll have developed a robust portfolio to jump-start their careers.

Course doesn’t deliver, and they know it. Exercises in class are minimal, and disorganized. Material is presented by ‘bullet point’, with aimless banter being mistaken as context. They work very hard to recruit students as young and green as possible. A $100 video course online would have delivered more content and been more interactive. There are decent schools out there. This isn’t one of them.

RED delivered! I enrolled at RED Academy after I finished a communications degree at UBC. I wanted a quick access point to the tech and startup community in Canada, and that's exactly what I got. The program exposed me to all of the most important skills and tools used by digital marketers today and helped me choose what to specialize in (PPC campaigns and digital strategy). The experience definitely opened up new job opportunities for me. I now work in a digital role at leading Canadian agency. A++ and thank you!
