Too many presentations fail to inspire because they focus on information rather than inspiration.

Delivered in partnership with The Humphrey Group Inc., this powerful program will enable you to present your ideas so that others are inspired to act upon them. Create a clear message that reflects your leadership thinking. Deliver presentations with a persuasive structure, compelling language and meaningful visuals. Build skills in projecting a confident yet natural presence in every interaction.

To ingrain your learning experience, the program includes hands-on presentation workshops in formal, informal and off-the-cuff situations.

What You’ll Learn

  • Determining your purpose: analyzing the audience and the opportunity, deciding what kind of presentation and slide deck are needed
  • Structuring your presentation: identifying your key message, determining what structure will work best to prove the message, using The Leader’s Script to create an outline
  • Thinking visually: ensuring each slide is clear, explicit, logical and meaningful, practicing your visual thinking by storyboarding your outlines
  • Achieving a leader’s presence: channelling your nerves, projecting confidence through eye contact, pace, expression and body language
  • Mastering Q&As: anticipating challenging questions, structuring concise responses, Q&A best practices, using Q&A sessions as influence opportunities
  • Presenting on the fly: deconstructing complex ideas into their essential elements, scripting yourself in the moment, making an impact when presenting virtually

My experience at Sauder was overall very positive, I graduated in 2019.

There was a balance between advanced business theories and classes, and technical skills such as analytics and programming. The latter of which I personally found to be
quite difficult, but rewarding if you put the time in to learn.

By far, the best part of the program was the people. Everyone accepted was professional, nice, and smart. These are people who want you to succeed just as much as they want to succeed themselves.

The school's career centre was an invaluable resource to help with applications and conducting mock interviews so we knew what to expect when entering the job market.

Be prepared for an (at times) overwhelming workload though. Your social life will take a significant hit when class starts.

Sauder gets 5-stars from me. Great international faculty and a strong community of business professionals. My firm covered the costs of the change management program but I would have happily paid for it myself.
