Everyone is creative. What we sometimes lack are the tools and confidence to bring our creativity into professional engagement settings. In this one-day course, we’ll explore and practice a range of creative methods that can be used to bring people together to better understand and address complex issues, and have fun doing so.
You’ll learn about the concept of design thinking, a human-centred, systems-based approach that allows you to step back and redefine challenges and approaches in fresh ways. We’ll focus on adaptable facilitation frameworks that can help you incorporate creative tools into your engagement strategies.
This course replaces Arts-Based Methods for Engagement as the required course in the Dialogue and Civic Engagement Certificate.
