Private Pilot’s Licence

Learners in Winnipeg Aviation’s Private Pilot Licence (PPL) will learn to fly through forty-five hours of ground school, a minimum of twenty-seven hours of dual flight training (with a flight instructor), fifteen hours of solo flight training, and successfully complete the Transport Canada private pilot written exam.

The Transport Canada written examination will take place at the school. To pass the examination, pilots need to achieve at least 60% in all four mandatory subjects (Air Law, Navigation, Meteorology, and General Knowledge) with an overall score of 60%. You must also pass an oral English Proficiency Exam (International Students Only).

The scheduling and length of training is based on availability and subject to change.
