Civil Engineering Technician (International Students) only accepts applications from International Students.
Mohawk College’s Civil Engineering Technician program offers students a comprehensive foundation in planning, design, surveying, material science, and construction across a variety of engineering industries. With a strong focus on project management, Civil 3D software, and municipal services, students gain hands-on experience in essential aspects of civil engineering.
The program begins with a common first semester that allows flexibility, enabling students to explore five different program areas within the Building and Construction Sciences cluster. Students will also develop strategies for professional growth and lifelong learning in the civil engineering field.
Graduates of this program will be equipped to ensure that civil engineering work complies with applicable laws, codes, and ethical practices, while also adhering to sustainability and environmental standards. They will collaborate effectively within project teams, communicate with stakeholders, and support civil engineering projects through tasks such as design, cost estimation, scheduling, quality control, and project documentation. The program also emphasizes the importance of teamwork, leadership, and strong interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
