The University of British Columbia’s Adult Learning and Global Change program is a collaboration between UBC, South Africa’s University of the Western Cape, and Sweden’s Linköping University. For Canadian students, this two-year, fully asynchronous online program offers collaboration with an international community, as faculty from each school take on different courses and teach to an international audience.

This program is designed for those who require a flexible schedule, and want to better understand adult learning in a global context. Learners working with adults settings such as post-secondary, professional development, government, and more, may find benefit in taking part.

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with an overall average of at least B+.
  • Two years of related work experience.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to analyze theories and ideas surrounding globalization.
  • Plan learning interventions that can help adult learners influence others.
  • How to identify culturally-mediated frameworks for education.
