triOS College’s Immersive Personal Support Worker Training program is designed to prepare aspiring healthcare professionals for meaningful and in-demand careers in the caregiving field. Grounded in the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) 2022 curriculum, the program equips learners with essential administrative and clinical competencies while fostering a deep understanding of key concepts such as cognitive and mental health challenges, brain injuries, and safe medication assistance. Through classrooms that mirror real healthcare environments—complete with hospital beds, wheelchairs, and industry-standard equipment—students gain practical skills that translate directly into day-to-day PSW responsibilities across home care, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.
Following the completion of in-class instruction, students participate in a comprehensive 12-week clinical placement that provides valuable, hands-on experience in both community and long-term care settings. Learners graduate with an impressive suite of certifications, including CPR/First Aid (HCP/BLS), Gentle Persuasive Approaches, and Intramuscular/Subcutaneous Insulin Administration, along with access to Microsoft Office and Windows software. This immersive training pathway positions graduates to deliver compassionate, competent support that enhances the physical and emotional well-being of those in their care, setting the foundation for a rewarding future in the healthcare sector.
