The Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma program at Eastern College equips students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to excel in finance and payroll management. Offered on-campus in Halifax, the program provides classes with practical training in financial accounting, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, balance sheets, bookkeeping, and business software applications. A 10-week field placement allows students to apply their skills in real-world settings, while the curriculum also prepares graduates to pursue the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation from the National Payroll Institute, enhancing their professional credentials and career opportunities.

Students gain expertise in managing employee compensation, benefits, contributions, and payroll taxes, while developing the communication skills needed to convey payroll processes to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Taught by experienced faculty and supported by strong industry connections, the program blends practical experience with the latest accounting and payroll technologies.
