QC Pet Studies’ Dog Care Professional certification course is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career working with dogs in daycare and care environments. Through a structured online curriculum, learners build essential skills in supervising dog groups, planning safe and engaging activities, and understanding canine behaviour while developing the confidence needed to work in a professional pet care setting. The program is supported by up-to-date, science-based training materials that reflect current industry standards.

Throughout the course, students are paired with experienced pet care professionals who provide personalized audio feedback and guidance on every assignment, ensuring consistent support and practical insight. The curriculum is divided into progressive training sections that also introduce key business skills, helping students learn how to develop and manage their own dog daycare services. Upon completion, graduates earn the International Dog Care Professional (IDCP) designation, demonstrating their readiness to provide safe, knowledgeable, and professional care for dogs in a variety of settings.

No prior experience is required to enroll in QC’s Dog Daycare course, as it is designed for beginners and covers everything needed to start and run a professional dog daycare. Students learn essential skills in dog care, facility management, and client services to prepare for a career in the pet care industry. With flexible, self-paced study, learners can complete the course and begin their dog daycare career in under three months, or take up to a full year to finish their training.

What You’ll Learn

  • Supervise and care for dogs safely in daycare and group settings.
  • Plan engaging activities that support healthy exercise and socialization.
  • Understand canine behaviour to manage different temperaments confidently.

Decided to hop on a webinar on Concept Training. What an adventure and delight. Susan illustrates her passion and talents while showing us how to engage with our furry companions in an interactive, fun, and creative way. We learn how to achieve the desired result from our (dog) by asking them to complete a task/ command , while making the experience fun for both trainer and companion. Who doesn’t want to have fun!! 🤗👍

I did their grooming course and loved it. I learned so much and found I was able to incorporate it all into starting my own grooming buisness. Courses were easy to follow and I loved the practicals as they really showed me where I could improve.
