Humber Polytechnic’s User Experience (UX) Design graduate certificate prepares students to create meaningful digital experiences through human-centred design and industry-informed practices. The program combines UX research, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing, accessibility, and design systems with emerging AI tools and workflows. No prior UX or coding experience is required, allowing students to focus on design thinking, user research, creative problem-solving, and digital experience development.

Through hands-on, studio-based learning, students participate in workshops, case studies, collaborative projects, and live client assignments that reflect professional design environments. Portfolio-driven coursework and field experience provide opportunities to develop practical deliverables, including wireframes, prototypes, interface designs, and usability reports. Graduates are prepared to pursue careers such as UX designer, UX researcher, product designer, UI designer, and digital experience designer across industries including technology, health care, finance, education, and media.

I recently took the Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Digital Marketers and Communications program at Humber Polytechnic and found it really practical and easy to follow. It breaks down AI concepts in a way that actually makes sense for marketers, without getting overly technical.

I liked that we focused on real-world tools and use cases — from content creation to analytics — and how to apply AI strategically rather than just chasing trends. It’s a great starting point for anyone in marketing or communications who wants to understand how AI can fit into their day-to-day work.
