Trontario Truck Driving School’s DZ Straight Truck program is designed to help students develop the driving skills and knowledge needed to obtain a Class D licence. Offering training in both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, the program combines practical instruction with theoretical learning to prepare students for the licensing process. Experienced instructors guide students through essential driving techniques, vehicle safety procedures, and the requirements for operating commercial straight trucks.

The premium DZ training package includes eight in-vehicle training sessions, daily vehicle inspections, backing-up practice, highway and city driving, vehicle documentation, and logbook procedures. Students also receive a 12-hour in-class air brake course, an air brake certificate, one road test appointment, and truck rental for the test. Upon obtaining a Class D licence, graduates may operate eligible vehicles weighing over 11,000 kg, including straight trucks, dump trucks, waste management trucks, cement trucks, and fire and rescue trucks, subject to applicable licensing restrictions.
