This interactive program will enable you to create an adaptive project environment and to effectively lead a project organization.

Led by two pioneers in the field of Project Leadership, this program connects the organization’s strategy and direction to the projects that will bring that vision to life.

More than 2/3 of all projects ‘fail’ by the traditional definitions. Firms able to successfully launch new services and products gain a significant strategic advantage.

What You’ll Learn

  • Become a more effective project executive or sponsor
  • Manage project organizations to meet or exceed expectations
  • Implement best practices to overcome project obstacles and manage risk
  • Appreciate the uncertainty associated with strategic projects
  • Increase project visibility and priority across the organization to overcome that uncertainty

For participants who are already Project Management Professional (PMP) certified, 15 Category B Professional Development Units (15 PDUs) will be earned by completing this program.

Queen’s Project Leadership is also designated as an approved HRPA continuing professional development activity.

As an incoming Bachelor of Commerce student at Smith School of Business, Queen’s University, I chose the program because of its strong reputation in business education, finance, and career development. The program offers a broad business foundation while providing opportunities to explore areas such as finance, consulting, entrepreneurship, and investment banking.

I was particularly drawn to the collaborative environment, extracurricular opportunities, and access to a strong business network. I am looking forward to starting the program and experiencing the curriculum and career support firsthand.

Queen’s is consistently ranked among the best in the world. You can find average salaries and graduation rates on CourseCompare and on Smith’s website. The numbers speak for themselves.

But the best things about Queen’s are the people, the community and the networks. You will probably have fun here while meeting the future CEO of a tech startup or leader in finance and consulting. QC doesn’t set up internships for you and you will have to find one on your own, but recruiters are always on campus and profs are in your court and available to help you. There are also 40+ clubs to join where you can meet amazing people. There are regular conferences happening that attract first-rate speakers, and the exchange program is amazing and not one to be missed.

Queen’s and Ivey at Western are both excellent, but I chose Queen’s because it’s a 4-year program. Ivey begins in year three and I didn’t want to have to compete to get in and then make friends halfway through my undergrad experience.

To summarize, Queen’s is where future business leaders are being taught. The community is second-to-none and the career results speak for themselves.
