George Brown’s Pharmacy Assistant Program is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed to work in various pharmacy settings, including hospitals, community pharmacies, and retail environments. The program covers pharmacy fundamentals, relevant legislation, effective communication, prescription handling, pharmaceutical math, business operations, and job-readiness strategies. It reflects current trends and practices in pharmacy assisting across Canada and emphasizes an interprofessional, collaborative, and client-focused approach grounded in current research and best practices.

Upon fulfilling all program requirements, students may request a certificate of completion. Graduates may also choose to pursue further education by bridging into a pharmacy technician program.
