Students in the Pacific Rim College’s Holistic Nutrition program will learn to understand traditional and modern holistic nutrition fundamentals. This program is designed to give learners a comprehensive education in holistic nutrition. Students will comprehend the historical, medical, and therapeutic properties of more than 60 common and deeply nutritious foods.
Explore advanced topics on nutritional therapeutics, food ecology, sustainability, and cultural body ideals, and evaluate nutrition through a historical and cross-cultural lens. Students learn how to use two traditional energetic models: Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Learners will learn how to nourish the body in ways that aid in prevention and healing while prioritizing sustainability, creativity, and joy.
Upon completion of this program, graduates will be empowered to support themselves, their families, and the community with expansive knowledge. This program offers transfer credits to the Diploma of Holistic Nutrition for advanced certification if you choose to work toward a career as a Clinical Holistic Nutritionist.
