Robertson College’s Veterinary Assistant Diploma Program will prepare students for a career as a Veterinary Assistant. Veterinary Assistant plays a dual role in a veterinary setting; they are the first person that clients communicate with when they visit or call the veterinary hospital and assist veterinary technologists with routine tasks.
Students study on their own schedule with the option to attend live lectures throughout the week to connect with their instructor. The practicum is an essential part of a learner’s program. It is both a graduation requirement and an extension of in-class learning. The practicum asks students to apply the skills, theories, and concepts that they learned in their classes in an entry-level work experience situation.
Career opportunities for Veterinary Assistants exist in veterinary hospitals/clinics, pet shelters pet stores, humane shelters, pet daycares, Animal Control, and other animal facilities.
What You’ll Learn
• Understand the field of veterinary medicine.
• Oversee front office operations.
• Assist veterinary staff with standard procedures.
• Use digital programs and practice management software.

He is very confused with the material he is learning now and is very far behind on his studies. We are very upset with this school and I will expect someone to correct our situation.

This is a great program based on the NAPRA Competencies and CPTEA outcomes. Great instructors, lots of flexibility and easy going atmosphere for learning that still pushes you the ways you need to be challenged.
