Today organizations across all industries are looking for ways to accelerate project success. To do that quickly and effectively they are combining agile practices, which include different ways of organizing teams to build solutions fast, with the best of traditional project management. The result is an approach to projects that embraces adaptability and agility when today’s fast-moving marketplace is in constant change and the need for flexibility is high. By the end of this course you’ll know why forward thinking organizations and project professionals are using Agile practices and how to create and deliver project success in an agile environment.

  • Identify the responsibilities of key agile roles.
  • Create, estimate and plan Agile projects.
  • Apply typical Agile frameworks: product backlogs, burndown charts, retrospectives, daily stand ups, etc.
  • Analyze how Agile complements traditional project delivery practices.

I took the foundations and accelerated courses over 1.5 years while working in an ad agency in downtown Toronto. The courses really helped me up my game as I managed work for a cross-functional team. The experience gave me the knowledge and tools to implement new practices and help everyone get on the same page. We are now more efficient and accountable to clients as a result. I didn't need the PDUs, so people preparing to write exams or maintain certification might want to look at more options than just UofTSCS, but for me it was exactly what I needed.
