AMA’s New Driver Program teaches new drivers the key driving skills that can be difficult to learn without professionally developed programs and time in-car with a licensed driving instructor. As Alberta’s most trusted Driver Training School, AMA provides the confidence needed for drivers to set them up for success.
Instruction hours include 18 hours of the most up-to-date and interactive training in the industry either in-class, or online. AMA prepares new drivers for their in-car lessons through hands-on activities and interactive content for a proactive (rather than defensive) approach to driving.
What You’ll Learn
- Videos that simplify and explain the rules of the road.
- Demonstrations like proper steering wheel positioning.
- Fun group activities like wearing goggles to simulate impaired driving.
- Multi-tasking exercises to demonstrate the impact of distracted driving.
- 15 hours online or 18 hours virtual classroom and 10 hours in-vehicle (5-2 hour sessions).
Additional in-car driving packages available. Costs, dates and times vary depending on program.
