The University of Calgary’s Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance offers students a comprehensive understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Throughout their studies, students will explore various aspects of the insurance industry, including insurance products for businesses and the operations of insurance companies. The curriculum is designed to be both practical and progressive, equipping students with the knowledge to identify and evaluate risks, and to choose efficient methods for recovery from potential losses. Students will develop essential collaboration skills by working on team-based projects and have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through co-op work placements, alternating full-time paid work with academic studies.
