Organizations across industries depend on Product Managers to define meaningful problems, align cross-functional teams around a compelling vision, and deliver measurable results. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in products and services, employers are seeking professionals who not only understand core product management principles but can also assess AI opportunities, evaluate data readiness, and make responsible, well-informed decisions about AI-enabled features. The Applied AI Product Management bootcamp from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is a 40-hour online micro-credential designed for early- to mid-career professionals transitioning into product management and technology. The program builds a strong product mindset and develops end-to-end capabilities across the product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery.

Participants gain practical experience in design thinking, user and market research, ideation, prototyping and testing, product vision and strategy, agile prioritization, backlog management, road mapping, and outcome measurement. The curriculum also explores how AI is reshaping the Product Manager’s role, how AI systems function at a foundational level, and how AI tools can support research, synthesis, decision-making, and iteration. Through a team-based capstone project in a live business context, learners lead project kick-offs, conduct stakeholder interviews, develop prototypes, and present a comprehensive product case. Career-focused support, including résumé guidance and interview preparation, ensures graduates can effectively position their skills for entry-level roles such as Associate Product Manager, Product Owner, Junior Product Manager, Digital Product Analyst, Innovation Analyst, or Technical Product Coordinator, preparing them to contribute confidently to AI-enabled product teams.

What You’ll Learn

  • Apply design thinking across the product lifecycle, using AI to support research and decision-making.
  • Define and communicate product vision and strategy, including AI-powered opportunities.
  • Prioritize and deliver product work using agile practices and AI-informed trade-offs.
  • Lead discovery through delivery, conducting interviews, aligning teams, and presenting end-to-end product cases.

Thankfully I’m not just out of high school dealing with this money grab. The power engineering courses unfortunately are mandated by legislation as a requirement for work in the field and SAIT is THE worst at educating. It is a glorified text book with computer quizzes. And for that they charge through the nose. I might as well have gone back to university and taken a degree in Engineering for the price I paid for this time limited course. No text books made available, no answers from a so called instructor, money paid for exams, extortion money for extensions of online courses. Just pure money making by a failing institution. I had better hopes for SAIT. Going to do all my online elsewhere.
Do not go here.

If you want to pay out of your nose to try and learn from instructors who can barely speak english let alone interface with you in figuring things out, this is the school for you. What a worthless program and diploma-mill of an institution. Spend your time and money pursuing things closer to you than the pigeonholes places like this would have you shoved inside.
