SAIT’s newly developed certificate program provides the knowledge, tools, and techniques students need to refine their skills and embark on a fulfilling career in photography.
For beginners, the program covers essential topics such as aperture, shutter speed, and flash. More experienced photographers can broaden their skills with optional electives in Darkroom techniques or Adobe Lightroom.
Throughout this certificate program, students will build a strong knowledge base and a diverse array of cutting-edge techniques that can be applied immediately. All classes blend lectures with hands-on assignments, offering real-world experience behind the camera.

- Demonstrate best practices in digital image processing and file management.
- Control the main components of a digital camera with interchangeable lenses.
- Employ the tools and techniques used to improve image composition.

- Produce a controlled lighting set-up, by changing the quality and direction of light on a subject.
- Evaluate different focal lengths and how they affect perspective, depth, and compression in photography.
- Apply advanced equipment, exposure and focus techniques to common action/event-based photographic assignments.
- Demonstrate basic off-camera flash photography techniques using wireless flash triggering methods.
- Predict location-specific challenges that impact your gear requirements and photographic approach for different genres of photography.

Half-way through course, and still no resolution on 360 email. No one available to talk to, and contacts noted in email are never available. Was like this when I registered last year. You'd think I'd learn.
