Avalon University School of Medicine (AUSOM) offers a U.S.-modeled medical program designed to prepare students to become well-rounded, practicing physicians in the United States, Canada, and globally. With English as the language of instruction and assessment, the program aims to build a solid knowledge base essential for medical licensing exams, clinical science years, and post-graduate program preparation upon graduation. The university provides small class sizes, exceptional faculty (all holding either an M.D. or Ph.D. in their respective fields), comprehensive USMLE preparation integrated into the curriculum, and student-centered education and support services.

AUSOM offers small class sizes, providing students with a more personalized education. This is a significant advantage for those seeking a “one-on-one” learning experience to maximize their medical education. AUSOM has affiliations with renowned teaching hospitals, allowing students to participate in clinical rotations and gain real-world experience. This exposure helps students develop critical skills, build confidence, and strengthen their medical knowledge, giving them a competitive edge when applying for residency positions in Canada or elsewhere.

AUSOM also offers a five semester Accelerated MD program.

I chose Avalon University School of Medicine because of its strong academic credentials, including dual accreditations from CAAM-HP and ACCM. These accreditations gave me confidence that I was selecting one of the best medical schools for my career goals. Additionally, Avalon’s tuition is remarkably affordable compared to other accredited medical schools, making it an accessible option for aspiring physicians. The availability of on-campus housing was a significant factor for my family, as it provided my parents with peace of mind knowing I had a safe and convenient place to live while pursuing my studies. I highly recommend Avalon to anyone seeking a quality medical education in a supportive environment.
