In the Millwork and Carpentry program, you will gain hands-on skills in the design and construction of wood structures, cabinets, shelving units and furniture. This certificate program will explore the two traditional woodworking trades of Cabinetmaker and Carpenter, with an emphasis on tools and safety.

Students specialize in either the cabinetmaking or carpentry stream. Each stream emphasizes materials and techniques relevant to that trade specialization.

The Cabinetmaking stream (Millwork), introduces students to construction of both upper and lower casework, complete with doors, drawer, mouldings, hardware and exposure to a variety of different materials used in the trade.

The Carpentry stream provides an introduction to residential home construction in foundations, framing and finishing carpentry.

WAS THERE 10 YEARS AGO TAKING SOMETHING IN ENVIRONMENT IN CLASS HALF OF IT NON NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS. NON OF NON NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS GOT JOB! ALL JOBS WENT TO SOME PEOPLE? IT WAS MORE ABOUT SPEAKING AND WRITING THAN SCIENCE , THAT WHAT THE MINIS*** WANTED, LITERACY. WANTED IMMIG***** TO SPEAK AND WRITE AS SAME AS FLUENT ONES, SUCKS.
NON WELCOMING NEW PEOPLE FROM OTHER CULTURES. STUDENT WERE IN RACE GROUPS, OTHERS NOT WELCOMED. YOU ARE FROM SOME WHERE ELSE, TAKE CARE AND GET READY TO COMPLAIN TO THE UNION, DO NOT STAY SILENT, SPEAK THEN TAKE CARE. I DID NOT LIKE IT.
SOME TEACHERS MAY LET MAKE LITERACY MISTAKES THEN TELL YOU LATER, SNEAKY! OVER RESPECT FOR TEACHERS NOT REQUIRED, IT IS NOT THE CULTURE THERE!
