The Massage Therapy program at Eastern College prepares students for a rewarding career in healthcare, equipping them with the knowledge, hands-on training, and professional confidence needed to make a meaningful impact on clients’ well-being. As the only programs accredited by the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, it offers a recognized and respected pathway into the profession. Students benefit from expert instruction, small class sizes, and a supportive learning environment that blends in-depth theoretical study with practical application. With a strong track record of success, the program is designed to help students transition quickly and successfully into the workforce, supported by valuable industry connections and career opportunities.
The comprehensive curriculum includes a 440-hour clinical internship and covers essential areas such as anatomy and physiology, hydrotherapy, and ethics and professionalism. Students gain real-world experience in fully operational, public-facing clinics located on campus, where they practice under the supervision of experienced registered massage therapists. Available in Halifax as well as Saint John, Fredericton, and Moncton, the program offers accessibility and flexibility for learners across Atlantic Canada. The instructors are absolutely wonderful to work with online. The address all concerns quickly and they help you to succeed.
What impressed me most was the school’s focus on practical application and critical thinking. They constantly encouraged us to step outside the theoretical and apply what we learned. It definitely shaped how I approach problem-solving now.
