Conestoga College’s Business Supply Chain and Operations for Commercial Trucking program equips students with the skills to collaborate effectively with clients, border crossing agents, and internal teams, enhancing the supply chain process and optimizing business efficiencies and relationships. The program focuses on trucking operations, logistics, and core business principles, covering key areas such as transportation communication, customer service, freight calculations, hours of service, e-logging legislation, geography, logistics business practices, and includes a simulation.
This comprehensive curriculum ensures that students are well-prepared for careers within the Canadian transportation sector. Graduates of the program are positioned to begin their AZ licensing through an affiliated third-party trainer, should they choose to pursue a commercial driving career.
What You’ll Learn
- Examine the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and the functions, processes, and roles within a supply chain, to support decision-making, problem-solving, and completion of tasks.
- Support supply chain business operations using accounting and financial analysis.
- Identify compliance issues within a supply chain to inform business operations.
- Identify risk mitigation tools and strategies to support business operations within a supply chain.
- Contribute to the acquisition and sale of goods, services, and materials by best practices and stakeholder expectations across a variety of industries.
