If you’re interested in working in the field of natural gas and propane installation and service, this program is for you. You learn the theory and have the opportunity to apply it.

You’ll study: codes of practice, electrical controls and devices, fuel gas piping, metering devices and heating systems. You’ll graduate with the knowledge needed to receive Gas Fitter B Level 1 certification.

You get hands-on and practical training. This program teaches a balance of theory and practical application, which means you read and study how to do a job and then you actually get to apply those skills in a work-like setting.

Field experience (work placement) is a mandatory credit course completed at the end, or throughout the duration, of your program. It provides you with the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills outside of the classroom. Opportunities are typically unpaid and last approximately 5 weeks.
