Game – Design (International Students) only accepts applications from International Students.
Mohawk College’s Game Design Advanced Diploma program prepares students for a dynamic career in the rapidly growing gaming industry. The program blends technical, artistic, and design skills to help students develop unique gaming environments, characters, levels, assets, and systems. Students will engage in hands-on learning, working on real-world projects with industry partners, while building a professional portfolio and networking with representatives from gaming studios. With a focus on design thinking, iteration, and game production, students will learn to analyze game genres, create compelling content, and contribute to game development teams across various roles, including programming, design, and art.
Taught by industry professionals with deep connections to the gaming world, the program emphasizes equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), examining ethical considerations in both content creation and workplace dynamics. Students will gain experience with game engines, prototyping, world-building, and level design, all while developing iterative game design documents that meet industry standards.
