The Holistic Nutrition Certificate Program (HNCP) at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences is a fifteen-week program that uses modern nutritional models and cross-cultural comparisons to introduce students to whole foods nutrition and food as medicine. Completion of this certificate program enables graduates to use their knowledge to improve their own nutritional choices or those of family and friends and/or work in the health and wellness retail industry.

In the Holistic Nutrition Certificate Program (HNCP) course’s foundational phase, students delve into the fundamentals of nutrition, examining the role of nutrients in promoting overall wellness. Learners explore the connections between food and various aspects of health, from digestion and energy levels to immune function and mental clarity.

The one-on-one time with instructors in the Traditional Chinese Medicine programs and intimate nature of this school is irreplaceable. The instructors are truly passionate about their subject matter and with a vast array of specialties, you gain so much knowledge about Traditional Chinese Medicine. The instructors have helped me gain confidence and through passionate teaching, I have extended my studies from the 3-year program of Acupuncture to the 4-year TCMP program.

If you are truly looking to dig deep into the art of TCM, this is the school to choose. You are not running through this program just to get a job at the end, but to develop a deep understanding of the practices that ARE TCM.
