Business Administration (BBA)

The renowned Lazaridis School of Business and Economics is one of the first internationally accredited business schools in Canada (AACSB accreditation), where you’ll learn to work in teams tackling real-world problems that exist in society and in business. This Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program is full time and direct entry, which means your business education begins on day one.

Through class discussions, case analysis exercises and competitions, and training from professors and industry executives, this program delivers an immersive experience revealing the reality of today’s business world.

You’ll build a solid foundation and become a well-rounded business graduate, as well as a specialist that will lead directly to the career you want by having the freedom to choose one of ten business concentrations in upper years: Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human, Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, Risk Management, Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management and Sustainability.

At Laurier, you’ll participate in a number of practical case-based learning opportunities:

• Live Case: In your very first semester, you’ll work in a group to answer a strategic business question posed by a real company. Cash prizes are awarded to the top teams.
• New Venture Competition: Working in a team, you’ll generate and present a concept, value proposition and business plan for your new venture.
• Pitch Competition: This competition offers you the opportunity to perfect the “art of the pitch,” a critical business skill in today’s world.
• Integrated Case Exercise (ICE) Week: In your third year, you’ll put your business knowledge to the test during in a ten-day live case competition. Within a group, you’ll analyze a real problem facing a real company and offer real solutions.
