Master of Social Work

Université du Québec à Rimouski’s Master of Social Work program is designed for graduates seeking to deepen their professional practice and strengthen their ability to support vulnerable populations. The program focuses on advancing knowledge of complex social issues and preparing students to respond effectively to the evolving challenges within health and social service systems. A major component of the degree includes a professional internship, followed by the completion of an internship report and essay that encourage integration of theory and practice. Courses are delivered in a flexible blended format, combining in-person and videoconference learning between the Rimouski and Lévis campuses, with intensive weekend scheduling that supports work-study balance. Graduates leave prepared to take on leadership roles in social work practice while contributing thoughtfully and effectively to the well-being of individuals and communities.
