The Computer Programming and Analysis (Co-op) program at Fanshawe College provides students with a strong foundation in software development, system analysis, and application design. This three-year diploma program combines theoretical learning with hands-on experience in programming languages, database management, and web development. Students will gain valuable industry exposure through a co-op component, allowing them to apply their skills in real-world projects.
Students in the program will have the opportunity to develop their communication and interpersonal skills through a paid co-op work term in their final semester. This experience allows them to gain hands-on experience as computer programmers, working directly with real people in real-world situations. The co-op term provides a valuable opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting while honing essential skills for future career success.
Graduates will be well-equipped for careers in software development, IT consulting, and system analysis or can pursue further education in computer science or software engineering.
