Mechanical Techniques – CNC

Fanshawe College’s Mechanical Techniques – CNC program prepares students to enter the dynamic and technology-driven field of computerized manufacturing. In today’s advanced manufacturing sector, strong computer and technical skills are essential, and this one-year certificate program equips learners with the hands-on training and foundational knowledge required to succeed. Graduates are prepared to pursue valued, in-demand career opportunities across industries such as automotive, agricultural, woodworking, and production manufacturing.

Through two levels of mandatory coursework, students develop competencies in blueprint reading, computer-aided design (CAD), conventional and advanced machining, CNC operations, jig and fixture design, trade theory, and mathematics for trades. The curriculum combines practical shop experience with technical theory, ensuring graduates build the precision, problem-solving ability, and technical expertise needed to thrive in modern manufacturing environments.

Admission Requirements

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
