The Western University Graduate Diploma in Accounting provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to gain advanced standing into CPA Canada’s Professional Education Program (PEP). This intensive summer program deepens the knowledge of the technical and enabling competencies required by CPAs, such as financial reporting, finance, tax, performance management, and assurance and helps to prepare for the Common Final Examination (CFE). The program provides a comprehensive path for students pursuing the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
The program is focused on case-based learning in all testable areas of the CFE and provides successful students with the flexibility to choose any path for the CFE (Finance, Performance Management, Assurance or Taxation) and helps to prepare for the types of cases encountered in the CFE. The program ensures integration of technical competencies through the Integrated Approach to the Competencies course, which is critical to success in CPA PEP and the CFE. Our interactive approach also gives students the opportunity to develop enabling competencies which will be important for a successful career as a CPA.
