Hairstylist

Students learn all about hair in Eikonic Academy’s creative playground designed as a trendy high-end salon and barbershop and will immerse themselves in authentic client experiences that will prepare them for salon-reality situations and client interactions. From consultations, to staying up to date on the latest styles, and recommending the right products or posing the haircut for the perfect shot, students will receive thorough training.

Fashion and beauty is constantly changing, which means that the next generation of aspiring beauty professionals require new techniques and tools to stay ahead. Eikonic Academy’s multifaceted approach to learning adopts a ‘learner-centered’ educational experience with instructors who facilitate student learning through hands-on and engaging media such as video, music, live demos and presentations. Stylists will be surrounded by a cohort of like-minded, highly motivated entrepreneurial learners and a team of knowledgeable beauty industry educators in a small team learning environment. The success of the students is not solely attributable to the fact that they are taught how to cut; rather, it is due to the fact that the teachers take the time to teach them how to think like professionals.

• Hair skills: cutting (long/medium), basic scissor and fade work, styling, and hair additions.
• Chemical services: relaxing, colouring/lightening, and permanent waves
• Professional development: client services, digital portfolio, business plan, and salon 3D design
