Richards Truck Driving School’s D-Z Comprehensive program in Mississauga prepares students for straight truck and dump truck driving careers in the transportation and construction industries. The program combines 12 hours of classroom instruction with 15 hours of in-cab training, helping students develop essential knowledge of commercial driving regulations, vehicle inspections, and road safety. Students can choose between automatic and non-synchronized manual transmission options based on their experience and career goals.
The program emphasizes personalized, hands-on instruction, with one-on-one training in a private 1.5-acre yard before progressing to public roads. Students practise backing and turning manoeuvres, vehicle inspections, transmission operation, and defensive driving techniques while learning about hours-of-service regulations, emergency procedures, accident prevention, and driving laws. The program also includes two road tests to help students prepare for their licensing requirements and future driving roles.
Dates and length of program subject to change.
