Every year, you work on the making of a film. In this competitive program, you’ll develop your craft and vision as a filmmaker under the supervision of established filmmakers, media artists and scholars who instruct and mentor you.

The program integrates rigorous hands-on technical training with aesthetic, historical, commercial and theoretical topics that influence filmmaking today. Our approach pushes you to find innovative ways to express yourself through motion pictures.

Our facilities are amongst the best in Canada. A wide range of film and digital equipment is available to you, and our production studios cater to everything from hand-made analog techniques to the latest digital technologies.

As your skills improve, you may choose to specialize in a specific technical area such as cinematography or sound. Fiction filmmaking has a rich history here, but we also make significant contributions to documentary and experimental films.

Montreal has a bustling film industry, so take advantage of your time here. Our school and our city will offer you both time to be creative and many opportunities for professional work.

Loyola is the greenest campus they have. There are multiple labs on each floor.

One benefit of the school is the Webster library. It's probably one of the simplistic and beautiful libraries I have ever been in and the layout and floor plan is well thought out. Also, it is located near the Metro and most other students go their during their downtime.

I truely enjoy getting my education in the university, but the management and bureaucracy is flawy which makes it miserable and soul crushing also

People at the Reception are very helpful and metro station is just under the university building ,that is the best thing for students and saves time too.

Place for smartest minds in the world to collaborate and make the world a better place.

I chose Concordia and DecodeMTL because I heard the curriculum was strong and easy to follow. Having a connection to Concordia is also valuable for employers. The diploma is very demanding. I started with basic knowledge of HTML and still needed to commit the hours to learning on my own. The instructors are very good at their jobs. They were always available when I needed them and helped me whenever I was stuck. They put everything into a business context too which I appreciated. The last thing is that you need to hustle to find a job. The school will help with CV editing, mock interviews and getting you a better online presence. It all helps, but some students like to think a job will be waiting for you without any work. That's not true, so be ready.
