This program will give you the skills and training you need to work in the specialized construction industry. Upon graduation students will be knowledgeably skilled in the construction project management process and be able to function within multi-disciplinary teams consisting of project managers, architects, engineers, regulators, and environmental consultants, contractors.
What You’ll Learn
- Assess requirements for construction industry business planning and management to ensure effective and efficient construction operations.
- Contribute to an organization’s success through effective employee relations including the planning, delivery, and evaluations of employee training and development programs.
- Integrate and apply knowledge of construction legislation, standards, procedures and contract law into an on-going planning and decision making process.
- Monitor that all work is completed in compliance with contractual obligations, applicable law, standards, bylaws, and building code.
- Utilize collaborative leadership and communication skills to influence project stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Manage and execute a variety of construction projects using project management principles, practices and tools.
- Build and lead interdisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle using negotiation and problem solving skills.
