The Phase 1 – Real Estate as a Professional Career Course is administered on behalf of the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission (SREC). The course provides part of the registration education requirements for those who wish to become a licensed registrant as either a salesperson or property manager and must be completed prior to registration in any Phase 2 Course. Designed for entry-level students who want to become registered in Saskatchewan to provide real estate salesperson or property management services, this course addresses foundational topics such as the legal framework for real estate services in Saskatchewan, professional ethics and liability, land ownership and title registration, valuation and financing in real estate, and the fundamentals of agency and contract law.
This blended learning course allows students to register at any time. While the course is flexible in order to meet the needs of busy adult learners, it provides just enough structure to ensure high quality learning. Within two years of registration of Phase 1 course, students must complete the Phase 1 and Phase 2 course in the chosen stream and become registered with a brokerage. Regularly scheduled exams take place at various times throughout the year throughout the province (exams must be written in Canada) with first written examination registration is included with the course tuition fee.
