Sault College’s two-year Social Service Worker program equips students with the skills to create real change through collaborative, culturally safe, and strengths-based relationships. Grounded in anti-oppressive and trauma-informed practice, the program explores key social issues such as family violence, addiction, mental health, and poverty.

With more than 400 hours of field placement, students gain hands-on experience applying classroom knowledge in real-world community settings. Graduates meet the educational requirements to register as Social Service Workers with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), ready to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Sault College offers flexible pathways to continue your postsecondary education, whether you’re starting fresh, transferring credits from another institution, or building on prior experience—explore options to move from certificates or diplomas to advanced diplomas or degrees.
