Memorial University offers a fully online Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program, which can be applied to after prospective students have completed foundational courses in the first year of study. The common first year courses include math, economics, English, as well as a business and non-business elective.

The program offers both full-time and part-time options, which can be completed fully online, on-campus, or through a combination of both.

Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Memorial University’s business school is also a part of the CFA Institute’s University Affiliation Program.

Unlike other online BBA or BCom programs that require students to choose a specialization, Memorial University takes a more broad approach. They encourage students to hone in on a focus area without noting it on their transcript.

Focus areas for Memorial University’s BCom program include: accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, HR management, information systems, international business, labour relations, marketing, and more.

The school also offers a BCom co-op program, which is a separate program offered only on-campus.

I've had a really positive experience. The program covers all the essentials — accounting, marketing, management — while also encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving in real-world business scenarios. I’ve enjoyed the hands-on projects and chances to collaborate with local businesses, which have boosted both my skills and confidence.

I’m really glad I chose the Engineering program at Memorial University of Newfoundland. It’s challenging but rewarding, with a great balance of theory and paid co-op work terms that give you real experience before you graduate.

The professors are knowledgeable, and there’s a strong community feel in labs and projects. It’s a respected, accredited program, and while it’s demanding, it’s absolutely worth it if you’re serious about becoming an engineer.
