Students looking to support vulnerable or at-risk communities can find a rewarding career in social service. Cambrian College’s two-year diploma program offers a full-time, team-oriented approach to provide learners with the skills needed to help others through some of their most difficult times.
This hands-on learning experience includes practical, real-world opportunities through two placements with community organizations, and will lead to graduates being recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
What You’ll Learn
- Legislation around social work and how it impacts day to day operations.
- Intro level psychology.
- How people interact in groups compared to individually, and how social workers must adapt to those changes.
