Confederation College’s Pharmacy Technician program offers a comprehensive two-year education designed to prepare students for meaningful roles in the health care system. Approved by the Ontario College of Pharmacists, the program ensures graduates are eligible to pursue registration as Pharmacy Technicians in Ontario. Through a mix of theoretical instruction and practical lab work, students build a strong foundation in key areas such as pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacy calculations, dispensing practices, and aseptic compounding. The curriculum emphasizes professionalism, ethics, and communication—critical skills for ensuring safe and effective patient care.
Graduates are equipped to step confidently into various pharmacy settings, including hospitals, community pharmacies, and institutional environments. With a balance of academic learning and real-world application, the program opens doors to a wide range of employment opportunities and lays the groundwork for further specialization in pharmacy-related fields.
