Information Technology Administrator (Cybersecurity)

Eastern College’s Information Technology Administrator (Cybersecurity) program equips students with the technical expertise and practical experience needed to secure and manage modern IT environments. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students gain proficiency in configuring, automating, and managing servers in both cloud and on-premises settings while leveraging advanced tools, including AI and search engine techniques, to streamline workflows. The program also focuses on cybersecurity fundamentals, teaching students how to design, implement, and evaluate security measures, as well as detect, respond to, and investigate security breaches.

Students develop a well-rounded skill set with courses in PC and Windows administration, network and Linux administration, and advanced networking and cybersecurity administration, complemented by career-focused modules such as Student Success Strategies and Career Management. With access to campus support across New Brunswick and practical learning opportunities, graduates leave the program prepared to step confidently into in-demand roles in IT and cybersecurity, equipped with both the technical knowledge and professional skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.

A 12-week internship option is also available.

Admission Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent or meets criteria for Mature Student Status.
